My DIY Adventures: Bedroom 1

This project was to sympathetically modernise and brighten up this bedroom on a limited budget so as not to lose its elegance.

The walls were painted with Dulux Egyptian Cotton giving it a fresh but cosy feel. A new window sill was installed on the small window. The fireplace was painted white to give it a clean look but the fireplace tiles were just cleaned up as they would match the new colour theme of the bedding. A new laminate floor was laid and, as there was only enough money in the budget for a new bed, all of the existing furniture was upcycled and painted white to give the room a clean and modern but traditional look.
